The Final Awards of the Festival Home with Oberon Media for short films made in quarantine
It was held last night, live on Zoom, the prizegiving of Home with Oberon Media, short film festival conceived and created by the production and distribution company Oberon Media, who offered - for free – videomakers forced to stay home for quarantine the possibility to get involved in the autonomous realization of a short film. Ten short finalists, all unreleased free themes, in Italian and made at home during the quarantine period, of the duration between 1 e 6 minutes. All short films are published on Oberon Media social networks, the instagram channel @oberonmedia and on the official facebook page, in the idea of enhancing online content and cultural activities more and more.
The Jury festival Home with Oberon Media, composed of professionals from the cinema and audiovisual sector, director Ferdinando Vicentini Orgnani (Jury President), the project coordinator of Oberon Media Ernesto Leotta (Jury Secretary), director Marco Amenta, the historian and journalist Except Trapani and the actress Elisabetta Pellini, has awarded two short films in equally, who each receive the Prize worth 1.000 euro, provided by Oberon Media as a recognition of personal merit for the design and implementation.
The two short winners ex-aequo and their respective reasons:
Ecovid, of Alessia Fischetti e Sofia Borrelli – For the poetic but very precise cut in direct comparison with the disaster of this moment. A never banal message of hope.
We Chinese are actually all clones, of Alessio Hong – For the innovative combination of languages and the subtle irony in addressing central themes in this moment of confusion and disinformation.
Three Special Mentions and their respective motivations:
Other skin, of Tole – To have, in these weeks of "forced detention", let escape the fantasy thanks to which Tole introduces us to a nocturnal and unknown world, populated by idols and mysterious symbols. All narrated in a convincing yet deliberately incomprehensible neolingual.
Contact, of Diletta Marcella Laezza – For demonstrating multidisciplinary artistic skills (acting, despite, dance, poetry) forcing the viewer to question the deep roots of the relationship with one's soul.
Beyond distances, of Damiano Dzalagonia – A short film that describes with extreme kindness the difficult time of the quarantine caused by Covid-19, as a bridge between people beyond distances. There is no distance that cannot be covered or diversity that cannot be embraced. Done that, we can go much further, close, to look to the future together.
Also Assigned Audience Award, awarded thanks to online voting a:
Everything will end, of Federico Antonucci, housewife tale that frees childhood memories and games.
