
L’eighth edition of the Nordic Film Fest If you have to Rome from Thursday 2 see you on Sunday 5 May. the review, which it was created with the intent to promote the film industry and culture of the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden), by the four Nordic embassies in Italy and with the collaboration of the Scandinavian Circle, It will take place at the Casa del Cinema in Rome, present new movie premiere or unpublished in Italy and is also realized in collaboration with the Embassy of Iceland in Paris, Movies Institutes of the respective countries and with the sponsorship of the City of Rome and the Lazio Region.
In addition to projections in the original language with subtitles in Italian or English and with free admission, the program provides presentations and meetings with international guests (directors, actors, producers, writers).
The the theme of the festival this year will be "Borders / Boundaries", not only geographically but also between "worlds", ways of being and thinking different.
Ad officially open the Nordic Film Fest 2019, with the presence of the actress Alba August and producer Lars G. Lindstrom, the biopic "Becoming Astrid", on the life of Astrid Lindgren, one of the most important writers of children's literature of the twentieth century, author of the best seller "Pippi Longstocking". The film tells of a young Astrid decides to break the rigid rules of society from the early '900 and follow his heart. Sunday 5 May at 21:30, movie closure of the Nordic Film Fest 2019, Iceland's "Woman at war - the power woman" directed by Benedikt Erlingsson, its world premiere at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes, film winner of the Lux Prize of the European Parliament. "Woman at war - the power woman" is a play outside the box combining excitement, commitment and fun. The main character looks like a woman like any other, but behind the daily routine hides a secret life as eco-terrorists against corporations that are ravaging his homeland, the beautiful Iceland; the film will soon have an American remake, direct, produced and performed by two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster Award.
The event this year will also have a Special section entirely by the Scandinavian Circle with films and shorts with Nordic guests, Saturday 4 May from 16 all 20. For the first time at the Nordic Film Fest lands skam, The web series produced in Norway quickly became an international phenomenon; born from NRK P3 channel it has been brought to Italy by TIMvision. There will be two moments during the festival to learn about the history and social language of "teen drama": Saturday morning 4 May, from 10 at 13, a meeting in collaboration with Bam! Nordic Film Fest this year also makes use of the important partnership with IED (European Institute of Design) who created the original theme song.
